Written by The Breakthrough Energy Solutions Canada initiative is a first-of-its-kind public–private initiative in Canada aimed at accelerating the development of clean energy technologies with the potential to substantially reduce global greenhouse gas emissions. It is organized by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), in partnership with Gates Ventures, Breakthrough Energy Ventures, the Business Development Bank of Canada, Export Development Canada and other key stakeholders.
The initiative brings together 22 clean technology startups to pitch their clean technology innovators and investors from across Canada and beyond. CERT has recently been announced as 1 of the 10 winners for up to $3 million to continue our accelerated progress towards the full development of our technology.
